A handful of conservative members of Congress officially introduced articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Wednesday in a move that had been threatened for weeks. 

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is seeking documents regarding the president and several of his closest advisers and campaign associates, CBS News confirms, as part of his investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign.

President Trump said the "Democrats' memo was a nothing" when he called into Fox News' "Justice with Judge Jeanine" on Saturday night. 

The controversial memo created by Republican staffers on the House Intelligence Committee alleging abuse of surveillance authority by the Justice Department and FBI has been declassified, according to White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah.

Less than a week after two top former Trump campaign officials were indicted and another adviser to the campaign had already pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, the pressure on others under scrutiny appears to be growing. One source whose actions during the 2016 election are being examined by the special counsel's office and who is reluctant to talk publicly tells CBS News, "It's every man for himself."

CBS News has confirmed with multiple sources that a federal grand jury has approved charges in connection with the investigation into Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential election, and the sealed indictment is expected to be made public sometime Monday. 

With James Comey out at the FBI, Acting Director Andrew McCabe has taken over the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
